Bernard Frankpitt is a senior engineer at AIMS. He received an MSSE
from the University of Maryland, College Park and a BSc in Mathematics
and a BE in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Canterbury. He is currently completing a PhD at The University of
Maryland, the topic of his research is "Estimation of Hidden Markov
models for partially-observed, risk-sensitive control problems." He
has also worked on active vibrational control of Mechanical Lathes,
developed new algorithms for H-infinty control of infinite
dimensional systems, and developed and taught a graduate course in
Systems Engineering.
